California in 1970. Her parents relocated to Dallas just after she was born.
She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and
Visual Arts in the city center of Dallas. Later she received an BFA degree from
Stephens College in acting and further studied at the British American Drama
Academy. She worked for six years at Dallas Theatre Center as well as a single
year with Encore Company. She started her acting career in theaters prior to
her big screen debut. Her credits on stage include "As You Like It"
The "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" as well as the
"Measure for Measure", the "Baby" and the "Chicago"
productions, in addition to other shows. She was the standout actor in Michael
Cristofer's HBO telefilm Gia (1998), where she played opposite Angelina Jolie.
This performance earned her the respect of viewers and critics alike. Her
charismatic acting skills was evident in the sci-fi action film Frequency
(2000), which was featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute. With a wide range of
credits from theaters, TV series and movies, Elizabeth Mitchell continues to be
a top performer in the acting field. While the filming of Frequency (2000) she
broke her nose. Hertz Rent-A-Car ad for 1994. But, "they pulled it due to
the O.J. thing." In 1995, I lived with her boyfriend David Lee Smith
(ex-Brent on the soap One Life to Live (1968)) on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Parents are real estate and tax lawyers with their own firm located five blocks
from their home in Dallas. After a long stint in the stage as Rosalind the
actress, she returned to the U.S. after having been in Europe for a time. Her
parents moved to Dallas, Texas shortly after she was born in LA in 1970. She
graduated from Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual
Arts in the downtown area of Dallas, Texas. She received her degree from
Stephens College in 1991 and received a Fine Arts Degree. It was the last
quarter of 2001 in a role opposite Ioan Gruffudd as Cyd in Man and Boy (2002)
which aired in March 2002 on BBC 1 TV
