Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actor
from America. Her roles include daytime television, episodic guest
performances, and television-friendly films. Sofer was given a Daytime Emmy
Award by CBS in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo, the role she played in the
soap opera General Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on
CBS The Bold and the Beautiful, a soap production The Bold and The Beautiful.
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a
psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi. Her family
subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until, after divorce from her
parents,[citation requiredSofer moved with her father and brother David to
Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. At the time, however, Sofer was 5 years old, she
lived in Western Pennsylvania. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her
father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch
School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New
Jersey). Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's
rabbi Temple Beth El. She completed her studies at North Bergen High School,
and then went to Montclair State College. Sofer was the first to be a Lois
Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. She first appeared in 1993 as the manager of
a group. However, her first high-profile part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the
daytime soap show Loving (1988-91). The most famous of her roles is Lois
Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 in 1993 to September 24
in 1996. Later , she was back on the show as a guest star (February 7, 1997 -
September 30 in 1997; October 2, 1997 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a
Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress on a Drama Series for her
portrayal as Lois. Sofer was invited to join CBS' soap opera The Bold and the
Beautiful in the new role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12.
Sofer has been featured in a variety of notable primetime TV series as a
support cast member/guest star role: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle,
Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a
Half Men.
