Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen and was a former midwife and nurse in Norway. Her birth
date was April 25 the year 1969, in Katy. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is
a Swiss-born engineer. They got married in the year 1963. Renee is a sister to
a brother called Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on the 15th
of February in 1967. Renee was part of the drama group in high school when she
began to become interested in acting. She also took an acting course at the
University of Texas (Austin) in Austin, and then began looking at pursuing a
career in acting. She was determined to pursue acting after graduation. But,
Hollywood can be difficult to get into and so Renee chose to remain in Texas
and audition for roles around Houston. She found roles in films like Reality
Bites (1994), and Empire Records (1995). While filming the sequel, Texas
Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994) she met Matthew McConaughey,
another Hollywood up-and-comer. Renee observed him working on a project and
auditioned. The role was given to her in Love and 45 (1994). The role received
her enough praise, that she moved to Los Angeles. She was then offered another
role in The Whole Wide World (1996) and it gave her the biggest break of her career.
Cameron Crowe was busy casting his next film which was Jerry Maguire
(1996),starring Tom Cruise. Crowe was looking into actors like Bridget Fonda
(Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder), and Marisa Tomei, when he came
across Zellweger's performance at The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned
Zellweger and was certain he had discovered his Dorothy Boyd. Renee was able to
continue her huge success by releasing small independent films. She was praised
again from critics and was assured that she was ready to make a return to
large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep played her in One True Thing (1998).
She also played in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) in a role opposite Jim
Carrey and shortly after, began dating Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
