Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist, was
previously an anchor for television at ABC News. Her stints as co-anchor of
Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host on The View (2015-2018)
are famous. In the past, she anchors World News Now and America This Morning.
After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including
an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the
limited opportunities on TV she was employed in radio sales. Her next job was
one year as a production assistant at WKEF/WRGT . She then occasionally report
and anchor. She was the weekend anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the weekday
anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati between 2002 and 2005. Her contract was
terminated , and she was hired as a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate
WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 to December 2011. She was recruited by ABC
News' news division in December 2011. She joined ABC News for their World News
Now and America This Morning on January 2nd 2012. She was a journalist and
substitute for Good Morning America during this time. In the following years
she was promoted to New York-based correspondent on all ABC News programs. She
was not able to be able to make it to the final episode of World News Now or
America This Morning. The show aired on January 22, 2013. She made her debut on
Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor, September 9, 2014. This was after
Bianna Golodryga changed her channel to Yahoo! News. On the 25th of August,
2015, ABC announced that she was joining The View as a co-host for season 19.
The show announced on August 3 in 2016 that she was renewed for for the
twentieth season. Season 21 was also renewed, with her co-hosting duties. She
was most well-known during the 22nd and 21st seasons of the series.
