Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American television chef and host. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best restaurants in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she developed an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian cuisine. This had an enormous impact on how she views food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing difficulties. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for education about the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours across the nation in her mentorship job. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion that she had for and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
